Summary:

Evergreen Fire and Security is looking for a qualified Security Specialist Technician to travel throughout the United States.  This is a great opportunity for an experienced low voltage technician. Works under the supervision of the Site Manager as a field representative on installations, testing and maintenance of low voltage security systems.

Job Duties and Functions:

  • Install, repair, test and maintenance of security projects as assigned.

  • Provide field customer service to customer and represent Evergreen Fire and Security in a professional manner.

  • Ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations as applicable to service, installation and maintenance of all systems, including OSHA safety standards.

  • Maintain vehicle, uniform and tools as the policy states for EFS staff.

  • Accurately complete all paperwork directly related to the service orders and projects.

  • Must be able to install conduit as necessary.

  • Able to work in a team or independently with direction of journey supervision

  • Ability to lift on average 25lbs to 50lbs, could go up to 100lbs on occasion
  • Bending, stooping, and reaching regularly as part of daily tasks
  • Climbing ladders up to 30 feet high (Use of safe ladder climbing procedures required)
  • Must be able to train customers on the usage of all applicable products used in installation and/or upgrades.

  • Must be available to travel as necessary.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance at all times.

  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • All other duties as assigned within your qualifications.

  • This position may require more than 40 hours per week, some weekends, and may require on-call work.

Experience and Skills:

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • IT or an electrical background.
  • Basic electrical wiring experience.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Good communication skills to interface with customers.
  • Able to call and schedule appointments, follow instructions and code requirements.
  • Perform follow-up to ensure the client is ready for inspection.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Obtain a First Aid  and CPR card
  • Must obtain OSHA 30 Certification
  • Ability to lift on average 25lbs to 50lbs, could go up to 100lbs on occasion
  • Bending, stooping, and reaching regularly as part of daily tasks
  • Climbing ladders up to 30 feet high (Use of safe ladder climbing procedures required)
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to work well with others and come to work with a positive attitude.
  • Required to obtain Secret Level or higher security clearance.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of minimum liability insurance.
  • Pass a pre-employment and continuing random background, drug and MVR screenings.

Preferred:

  • Associate degree or at least 3 years of verifiable related work experience.
  • Experienced in the IT field
  • COMP TIA or Security Plus Certifications
  • Experienced electrician.
  • Current Secret Level or higher security clearance.
  • Certifications or experience on the following: MDI, Vindicator, DAQ, Lenel, AMAG, Advantor, HIRSCH.
  • Prior experience working on government contracts or military bases
