Job Description:

Summary:

Supports company goals and growth that may include but are not limited to preparation of Fire Alarm and/or Electronic Security system designs, estimates, proposals, technical writing, training and engineering support and management of staff to complete assigned projects as listed on the project’s scope of work

 

Job Duties

  • Responsible for multiple sites as assigned by the Operations Manager.

  • Work collaboratively with other programs and departments within the organization.

  • Mentor staff to ensure positive customer contact and relations meet the overall company service and technical standards.

  • Review, interpretation and oversight of contract requirements and scope of work.

  • Design and estimation of Fire Alarm and/or Electronic Security system proposals.

  • Ensures compliance of project estimates.

  • Create and present proposals in a business development capacity.

  • Perform job site walk throughs in preparation for design and estimates.

  • Manages administration duties of projects including change orders and project reporting to ensure projects are within contract obligations.

  • Coordinates equipment and material deliveries.

  • Coordinates subcontractors as required.

  • Relays customer feedback to management as needed.

  • Build relationships with past, present and potential customers.

  • Create and adhere to project deadlines.

  • Oversight of projects from start to finish which may include the supervision of staff.

  • Must be available to travel as necessary.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance at all times.

  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • All other duties as assigned within your qualifications.

Experience and Skills:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the work being performed and 5 years of Fire Alarm and/or Electronic Security system design, estimating and engineering preferred.

  • Must have some experience in securing government funded contracts.

  • Must have the ability to read CAD drawings, blue prints and schematics.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and SharePoint.

  • May be required to obtain Top Secret level clearance.

  • Must have a valid state driver’s license and proof of minimum liability insurance.

  • Must pass pre-employment background, drug, financial credit check and MVR screening and participate in the company’s random screening process. Experience with Service Contract Act or Davis Bacon contracts.
